William (Bill) Bloking

Non-executive Chairman

Bill has more than 45 years of experience in the energy and minerals sector. Until 2007, he was President, Australia Asia Gas, at BHP Petroleum and, prior to that, he spent 24 years with ExxonMobil in a variety of senior executive roles in Asia, Europe, South America, and the USA. He is currently the Managing Director of Australia Asia Energy Pty Ltd and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD). Bill previously held the position of Non-Executive Chairman in Nido Petroleum Limited, Transerv Energy Limited, Norwest Energy NL, the National Offshore Petroleum Safety Authority, Cambodia Energy Limited, Cool Energy Limited, and Cullen Wines (Australia) Pty Limited. He was also the Vice Chairman of the Australia China Business Council and a Non-Executive Director of the John Holland Group, Miclyn Express Offshore Limited, Prominence Energy NL, the Australian Petroleum Exploration and Production Association, the Lions Eye Institute and the West Australian Symphony Orchest


Steve Shedden

Executive Director

Steve Shedden is a minerals geologist and company director with over 45 years’ industry experience. A graduate in Applied Geology from the Ballarat School of Mines and Industries (SMB) and its successor institutions, he has wide corporate and field experience in exploration and mining in Australia, Papua New Guinea and South America.

Mr Shedden co-founded four ASX-listed mineral companies; Gindalbie Metals Limited (1993), Oroya Mining Limited (2002), Argentina Mining Limited (2010), Torrens Mining Limited (2021) - and held senior management roles in each.


Richard Grauaug

Non-executive Director

Richard is legally and financially trained and also a founding shareholder of the company. Operating in a non-legal capacity, he provides oversight across commercial strategy, risk management, and corporate governance. Leveraging a lifetime of global experience, he guides through all growth stages—from start-up to scale—to secure successful business, transactional, M&A and capital raising outcomes. This directorship leverages nearly 40 years of foundational expertise as a former practising lawyer in corporate, commercial, mining, technology, energy and resources law.

Prior to Allegro, Richard was a Director and Founding Shareholder of Torrens Mining Limited (ASX:TRN) from its 2014 establishment, overseeing its 2021 ASX listing and subsequent 2022 takeover by Coda Minerals Limited (ASX:COD). His corporate track record includes serving as Senior Legal Counsel for Apache Energy Limited in Perth and Corporate Legal Counsel to Arafura Rare Earths Limited (ASX:ARU) (formerly Arafura Resources Limited). He also held key Regional Legal Counsel roles and directorships with Halliburton Energy Services across Australasian, South-East Asian, and African jurisdictions, based internationally for many years across Australia, Africa, and the Middle East. Admitted as a Barrister & Solicitor in Western Australia in 1987, Richard practised in elite top-tier & boutique law firms, and numerous in-house corporate legal roles during his former legal career.


Patrick Say

Executive Director

Pat is a graduate of RMIT University in Victoria in Applied Geology (Hons).  He has 20+ years’ mining industry experience, including 10 years as Chief Geologist with Rex Minerals Limited, where he led the geological team which delineated and evaluated the Hillside copper-gold deposit through to Feasibility Study level. Pat worked on the Mt Keith nickel mine in Western Australia with WMC, and within the South Australian copper-gold industry with OZ Minerals Limited on the Prominent Hill copper-gold operation, where he managed the Resource Development team. Prior to Allegro, Pat worked with the team which evaluated and acquired, for Rex Minerals, the Hog Ranch gold project in Nevada, USA.

Pat has strong leadership and project management skills, along with valuable industry experience in a broad range of relevant areas such as exploration geology, ore definition, financial evaluation, grade control processes and mining.


Ben Smith

Company Secretary

Ben is a Chartered Accountant with experience across company secretarial, corporate advisory and financial management and reporting of ASX listed companies. Ben is an employee of Mining Corporate Pty Ltd, where he has been actively involved in numerous corporate transactions and as company secretary of various listed and unlisted entities.
